Welcome to the Community Innovation Challenge: Solving Local Problems, an exciting pitch competition designed for 10th-grade students eager to make a difference in their communities. This challenge invites you to harness your creativity and teamwork skills to develop innovative solutions to issues facing your local area. By participating, you'll not only enhance your problem-solving abilities but also have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the world around you.
Sobre nosotros
We are a group of 10th-grade students who noticed how littered streets and unsafe public spaces affect daily life in our neighborhood. Seeing this problem firsthand motivated us to come together and think of a practical way to improve our community. Our pitch focuses on small, realistic actions that students and residents can take to make local streets cleaner and safer.
Problema
Many neighborhoods struggle with littered streets and neglected public spaces. This not only affects the appearance of the area but also creates safety concerns and lowers community pride. The lack of organized, student-led initiatives means the problem often goes unaddressed.
Solución
Our solution is a student-led community cleanup and awareness program. By organizing regular cleanup days and creating simple educational materials, we aim to encourage residents to take responsibility for their surroundings and keep public spaces clean.
Mercado objetivo
Our primary audience includes local residents, students, and community volunteers who use public spaces daily. We also hope to reach local schools and neighborhood organizations that are interested in small-scale community improvement initiatives.
Impacto social
This project promotes environmental responsibility, improves neighborhood safety, and builds a stronger sense of community. By involving students directly, it also helps young people feel empowered to make a difference in their own neighborhoods.
Próximos pasos
To move forward, we would need basic supplies such as trash bags and gloves, support from local schools, and cooperation from community volunteers. Access to public spaces and permission to organize cleanup events would also be helpful.

This project is designed to be simple, realistic, and easy to replicate in other neighborhoods. Even small actions can lead to meaningful change when communities work together.
