Welcome to the SMSD Student Chamber's Business Showcase! This is an inspiring business competition designed to highlight PK-12 students who run REAL businesses in the Shawnee Mission School District. The top five business owners with the most votes and highest judge ratings will present their business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges and a vibrant audience on April 30.
Awards at the live April 30 Business Showcase are:
1st Place: $1,100
2nd Place: $600
3rd Place: $300
Students are challenged to answer the following questions with their pitch:
Part 1: Describe the problem and products/services that you are selling (including pricing).
Part 2: Describe your target market.
Part 3: Customer Reach/Channels

I'm a 16-year-old boy, and I like to wear hoodies, sweats, and shorts. I love listening to many types of music. I love watching and playing football.
Problème
Most teens want streetwear that looks unique and matches their personal style, but:
Big brands are expensive, and everyone ends up wearing the same thing.
Unique Value Proposition (Why Alleyes is different)
Alleyes offers affordable, bold streetwear made specifically for teens at our school and community, with designs that stand out and feel personal.
Stand-out style: Unique graphic designs that grab attention and show personality. Alleyes is a clothing brand that offers stylish, everyday streetwear designed for teens. Our main products include graphic tees, hoodies, and sweatpants that focus on comfort and bold visual designs.
We will show a prototype of our first collection, including sample logo designs and mockups of shirts and hoodies, so you can clearly see what Alleyes will look like. $12 per Shirt

Solution
Primary customers: Teens (ages 13–18) in the Kansas City area who like streetwear and bold graphic designs. They want comfortable clothes they can wear to school, hangouts, and games.
Secondary customers: Parents 25-40 in Kansas City and relatives who actually pay for the clothes, especially for gifts, school shopping, and special events.

We will reach them through social media: Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat posts, Reels, and stories featuring outfits and new drops.
Word of mouth at school: friends, classmates, and school events (games, pep rallies, club days).
