About
BNIM is an architecture firm that builds quality, unique buildings for companies. BNIM clients not only have a comfortable work atmosphere but also an artistic pleasing architectural design for employees involved in the business and people around the community to look at. BNIM brings value to the community because they build spaces for people to conduct their work and because of their creative designs they help add personality to an area and an aesthetically pleasing site for onlookers.
Problem
My team is trying to solve the problem for attainable housing. The cost of materials is steadily increasing, so it is hard for architects to afford to build homes. In turn, the cost of housing is going up and making it harder for people to purchase homes.
Solution
Our solution is prefabricated modular housing. This is the best solution because it allows architects to affordably build homes and sell them to people in the community. It also makes homes easier to construct, making the manual work easier for construction workers.
Audience | Target Market
The main people impacted by the attainable house problem are architects and home buyers.
Learning Outcomes | Community Impact
In the future, more families will be able to afford homes. Architects will be able to find more ways to improve modular housing. Since modular homes are made of eco-friendly materials, it will be better for the earth.
Next Steps
To make our idea a reality, we would need more architecture firms to switch to prefabricated housing as well as help utilize our current source of logistics hubs.
Reflection | Other Info
This work has impacted me because now I know more about prefabricated homes and I know a little bit about what architects are looking into for the near future. I have gotten better at management and confidently communicating and leading my team. Usually I am very reluctant to take on leadership roles because of the pressure. With this, I was able to efficiently learn how to lead a team in a way that one person is not doing all of the work and we are all on the same page.
Resource | Support Needs
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. If I was funded for this idea, I would reach out to BNIM and give it to them so they could bring our idea to life.
