Ray-Pec Enterprise & Design
Competition Brief
Enterprise and Design is a program where students get regular high school credits but are earning it through client connected projects. We match them with industry professionals (clients) and they work with teams to complete real world projects with actual problems that those clients need to have solved and they come up with solutions and pitch those ideas.
About
Blue Team: Value for Veterans: Daniel P, Timothy C, Hayden S
Problem
Our subject matter expert, Chris Hagan challenged us to reserach more about what can get kids our age to become more involved with his Walk Across America benefiting Folds of Honor because Folds of Honor has scholarships for students our age.
Solution
Our team researched social media and what we can use to engage viewers our age. For our showcase, we created a website about Folds of Honor and the walk.
Audience | Target Market
Learning Outcomes | Community Impact
Our audience will know more about the Folds of Honor program and what they're doing for the fallen or injured veterans' children.
Next Steps
We still need to work on our website.
Reflection | Other Info
Our team did a nice job creating our tri-fold. We struggled with keeping everyone productive. We keep working on communication to keep everyone on task.
Resource | Support Needs
We only ask that people attend our showcase on June 29 from 9:30-10:30 and 12:00-1:00. Business partners interested in working with our students on future projects, please contact our Director of Community Partnerships, Jake Wingo, at jake.wingo@raypec.org.
