Competition Brief
Enterprise and Design is a program where students get regular high school credits but are earning it through client connected projects. We match them with industry professionals (clients) and they work with teams to complete real world projects with actual problems that those clients need to have solved and they come up with solutions and pitch those ideas.
About Us
Anxiour Colors: The Grass is Always Greener: Katie P, Sophie P, Jaazz W, Kassidy L
Problem
Our subject matter expert, Katie Lange, the program manager at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop-Farm, challenged us to research migration, clothing, food, and cultures.
Solution
We focused our research on French migration and learned about the forced move to Louisiana. For our showase, we are creating French food to share with our audience while they learn more about migration.
Target Market
Societal Impact
Our audience will learn about migration and have a better understanding about why people move.
Next Steps
We need to make a plan to make the food and bring it in. We will take pictures of the food we make that isn't present at the showcase.
Our Schools and Districts
Our team is great at communicating. Our SME is really cool and we liked her costumes she created. We struggeld with getting our project done, but we asked questions and got a lot of help
Use of Backer Contributions
We only ask that people attend our showcase on June 29 from 9:30-10:30 and 12:00-1:00. Business partners interested in working with our students on future projects, please contact our Director of Community Partnerships, Jake Wingo, at jake.wingo@raypec.org.
