About

Hi! I am a 5th grade student at Christa McAuliffe Elementary school in Lenexa. I love to dance and be creative. I created Kid's Kits in my Pawnee SEEK class entrepreneurship minicourse. I noticed how messy, wasteful, and expensive most kid craft subscription kits are, and I wanted to make an affordable and reusable option. But most of all, I wanted Kid's Kits to be fun!

Part 1:

I am the founder of Kid's Kits, a subscription craft box for kids. Unlike my competitors, Kid's Kits reduce waste by being reusable, and purposeful. For instance, the first kit is a make your own chore chart, which can help kids to make chores fun and keep them organized. On the inside of the boxes there will be a simple craft to do such as paper doll template or pieces you can put together to make a statue or something of the sort. Another reason my kits are reusable is that in your first kit, I will include a whiteboard sleeve so one side can be used for the craft and the other side will be blank so you can use it as a whiteboard.

My competition like KiwiCo, Little Dreamers Club, and Curiosity, all cost $24.00 - $33.00 a month, while my box only costs $15.00. I am saving on costs by only doing local delivery or porch pickup.

Part 2:

My main customers are local parents of kids in the 2-7 age range. Parents will buy my subscription boxes because they want kids to do chores and an activity to keep their kids occupied.

Part 3:

To reach my customers, I am planning on putting flyers up in the neighborhood and and to make a website.

Part 4:

My unique qualities are: I'm a cheaper option, my boxes accumulate less junk as they are reusable, and they provide an easy and fun craft that any child can enjoy.

Next Steps

I would benefit from mentoring to get my business up and running!
