Competition Brief
ProX is a Real World Learning initiative providing summer professional experiences for high school students.
About
The Blueprint KC is a family-owned small business offering boutique and custom clothing. They are located in Gladstone, Missouri and have been open for over a year.
Problem
How might we attract more attention in order to gain more customers?
Solution
We plan on focusing on growing advertising, both physical and electronic. We plan to implement changes within the building, as well through different social media outlets. With more advertising, hopefully this will build attention in possible clients.
Audience | Target Market
Most of the products offered cater to women, but The Blueprint KC would like to expand to offer men's clothing as well. At the moment, women are their target market.
Learning Outcomes | Community Impact
The Blueprint KC is a small-business, but they are also family-owned, black-owned, women-owned, wholesale customers of other small businesses, and recipients of the G.I.F.T KC Grant. Clearly, The Blueprint KC cares about their community and wants to improve themselves for the benefit of their customers.
Next Steps
We are asking for funding in order to carry out these changes. The timeline and changes itself are simple and relatively fast, so an investment of $700-$1,200 would allow for our idea to come to life.
Reflection | Other Info
Many companies today rely on marketing in order to gain customers, so having these skills will hopefully benefit us in the long term.
Resource | Support Needs
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. All of the money will be used to buy supplies, materials, and advertisements through social media.

This was a fantastic pitch! You showed how informed you are about the market space you are entering by understanding and adding in the gamification that comes with your mascot.

Your video is grate and shows how much work you have put in to a Cotten candy business! I did get lost when reading the written submission as it covers skin care products and not cotton candy. This discrepancy made the pitch unclear but a simple update and clarification would get you back on track in no time.
