About
The Queens: Are We There Yet?: Maddie H, Kayla S
Problem
Our subject matter experts, Heather Edwards and Molly McAndrews, registered nurses at St. Lukes', challenged us to learn more about why cancer hasn't been cured yet.
Solution
We researched how cancer is caused, wehre it's at in your body, and why there isn't a cure. For our showcase, we are showing an interview we did with a cancer patient that shows how cancer affects you.
Audience | Target Market
Learning Outcomes | Community Impact
Our audience will walk away with a better understanding of how they get cancer and may think more about what they eat and their health care.
Next Steps
We still need to work on our tri-fold that documents our work.
Reflection | Other Info
We did a great job gathering information and putting it on our tri-fold. Working with glitter glue has been a challenge. We had to come up with new ideas to fix our display.
Resource | Support Needs
We only ask that people attend our showcase on June 29 from 9:30-10:30 and 12:00-1:00. Business partners interested in working with our students on future projects, please contact our Director of Community Partnerships, Jake Wingo, at jake.wingo@raypec.org.
