Competition Brief

ProX is a Real World Learning initiative providing summer professional experiences for high school students.

About Us

Our problem is the public’s negative perception of bike lanes due to lack of parking and where a bike lane should be located to provide accessibility to others. Our solution is to design a better protected bike lane on Grand Boulevard and educate the community about the benefits of bike lanes with bikers, drivers, and users of mobility devices. Our main audience are business owners on Grand Boulevard and people looking for better transportation. Everyone on Grand Boulevard would be affected by roadwork construction, but the benefits of increasing road safety could be worth the cost. The next steps would be designing a prototype, educating bikers and drivers about road safety laws, and sharing safety benefits of adding bike lanes.
