About

This pitch is an example from our initial beta test competitions. The funding amount and contributions are not actual numbers. The team and submission are real though. Create your own goal and your backers will support it! This pitch story is included below...

Clinton County is a place where kids can experience a wide range of activities and experiences. A place where students, staff and community work together towards a common goal of success in education.

Problem

Due to global warming extreme floods are increasing at an alarming rate. Victims of floods are often trapped in vehicles, homes and on rooftops with no means of getting to safety. First responders are often unable to reach everyone in need fast enough.

Solution

A boat pod is an inflatable boat that would be attached to the side of a house or even in the trunk of a standard car. The boat pod uses a sensor to detect flooding waters and inflates automatically to create an emergency evacuation tool. A GPS system helps first responders locate you if needed. The boat helps gets you to safety or keep you safe until rescued.

Audience | Target Market

This product is perfect for anyone living in or near a flood zone or areas affected by extreme stormy weather, prone to flash flooding.

Learning Outcomes  |  Community Impact

The boat pod brings peace of mind to people living in hazardous flood zones. No longer will you need to fear being trapped on a rooftop or stuck in a drowning vehicle.

Next Steps

We hope you consider investing in the boat pod. Thank you for listening to our pitch.
