ProX Summer

Competition Brief

ProX is a Real World Learning initiative providing summer professional experiences for high school students.

About

Jolita Smith is the Assistant to the Director at the Human Resources of the Public Works Department. She helps provide clarification on any questions, helps with training and paperwork for new employees, and is also in charge of the Human Resources of Public Works.

Problem

How might we create a handbook with no experience of using one?

Solution

Our solution is asking employees and employers what should be in the handbook. Once we get all the information from the employees and employers, we will research some polices that should work.

Audience | Target Market

The future employees won't know who or what Public Works is and what polices they need to abide by.

Learning Outcomes  |  Community Impact

They would know how much of an impact they are bringing to Kansas City by working in Public Works.

Next Steps

The team will do more editing to it and then get approve by the supervisor.

 Reflection  |  Other Info

The experience made us realized that we like working in the HR Division a lot and also it really helped our typing skills.

Resource  |  Support Needs

We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000.

The video is not loading for some reason. If this were a real submission, I would ask the students to try again.
