Competition Brief

ProX is a Real World Learning initiative providing summer professional experiences for high school students.

About

The Running Well Store is a specialty running shoe store owned by Kathy Gates. The store provides personalized shoe service for those with different foot issues or who need them for running or walking. Their shoes provide stability, guidance, neutrality, and speed.

Problem

How might we work with the Running Well Store to bring awareness to a younger audience which will impact overall sales?

Solution

Our solution is to expand to Overland Park, Kansas to expose younger people to the quality shoes sold by the Running Well Store. The pop up shop concept will showcase the different shoes and allow teens to learn about the shoes and company.

Audience | Target Market

Our goal is to target a younger audience for The Running Well store. We aim to reach ages 14-21.

Learning Outcomes  |  Community Impact

Our solution will help create brand awareness for younger people and it will expose them to supportive foot wear. Wearing the right type of shoe provides speed for runners and comfort for others.

Next Steps

The next steps we would need to make our idea a reality are to get funding and a local building for our pop up shop concept.

 Reflection  |  Other Info

This has impacted us and we have built trust and greater communication as a team.

Resource  |  Support Needs

We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. We will use our funding towards purchasing a building for our pop up concept and additional expansion.

This was a fantastic pitch! You showed how informed you are about the market space you are entering by understanding and adding in the gamification that comes with your mascot.

Your video is grate and shows how much work you have put in to a Cotten candy business! I did get lost when reading the written submission as it covers skin care products and not cotton candy. This discrepancy made the pitch unclear but a simple update and clarification would get you back on track in no time.
