About
Hello! I'm Ada Knechtel the mastermind behind AK Creates. I am a 10th grader at Shawnee Mission West and I am always finding a way to be creative. When I was just 11, during the pandemic, I was on a mission to start a business. I thought it would be so fun selling my art (and as a bonus I would be able to spread some positivity and happiness in the world during that tough time).
Problem
At an early age I noticed that there is a lot of negativity in our everyday lives. When I founded AK Creates, it was during quarantine, when people needed easy ways to uplift each other and stay in touch.
Solution
Bright and colorful stationery that promotes positivity! This includes greeting cards that can be sent to loved ones to cheer them up, cute stickers with motivational messages, notepads encouraging productivity, and notebooks custom designed to match your style!
Audience | Target Market
Millennials and Gen X females that are employed in the United States, but open to anyone who likes cute paper goods that brighten their day.

Next Steps
I am looking for new opportunities to network and expand my business. As well as find ways to sell a greater range of products to a variety of people, to make more sales.
Reflection | Other Info
I think I did a good job making a professional image for myself and exerted confidence while presenting to show that I am prepared.
Resource | Support Needs
Higher quality printers for faster production;
new Ipad to run softwares;
more advanced design programs;
website domain; and
business show event entry costs.
