Ray-Pec Enterprise & Design

Competition Brief

Enterprise and Design is a program where students get regular high school credits but are earning it through client connected projects. We match them with industry professionals (clients) and they work with teams to complete real world projects with actual problems that those clients need to have solved and they come up with solutions and pitch those ideas.

About

T.E.A.M. The Art of the 30-Second Movie: Ireland D., Reid O., Christian S., Patty K., Hayden W.

Problem

Our subject matter expert, Sebastian Smith, a freelance writer and video producer, challenged us to create a 30-second advertisement based on an ad from the 1960s.

Solution

For our showcase, we are creating an advertisement covering three separate ads: Dairy Queen, Mr. Clean, and Frosted Flakes. We are also creating a tri-fold showing the progression of the companies.

Audience | Target Market

Learning Outcomes  |  Community Impact

Our audience will come way with a better understanding of advertising methods.

Next Steps

We still need to find information about the companies for our tri-fold.

 Reflection  |  Other Info

We communicate well as a team and are walking away with more information. We've enjoyed working with our SME. We've struggled with not originally understanding the challenge and having to pivot to a new idea.

Resource  |  Support Needs

We only ask that people attend our showcase on June 29 from 9:30-10:30 and 12:00-1:00. Business partners interested in working with our students on future projects, please contact our Director of Community Partnerships, Jake Wingo, at jake.wingo@raypec.org.
