This policy applies to all students who:

  • Register on the Nextpitch platform.

  • Submit pitches as part of an educational activity or program.

  • Participate in learning modules, mentorships, or competitions hosted by or through Nextpitch.

If you are under 18, you must obtain consent from a parent, guardian, or school representative before using the platform.

2. What Student Data We Collect

We may collect the following types of data:

a. Personal Information:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Age or date of birth

  • School or university name

  • Country or city of residence

b. Pitch-Related Information:

  • Title, description, and attachments submitted as part of your pitch

  • Collaboration data if working in teams

c. Usage Information:

  • Pages visited, voting activity, and pitch interactions

  • Device and browser details

  • IP address and time of access

We do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal information (e.g., health records, social security numbers).

3. How We Use Student Data

Student data is used solely for educational, mentoring, and innovation-related purposes:

  • To enable pitch submission, voting, and progress tracking

  • To match students with mentors, judges, or evaluators

  • To assess performance and eligibility in programs or competitions

  • To issue digital certificates or acknowledgements

  • To send relevant updates and communications (with consent)

We do not use student data for advertising or profiling purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent student data. However, we may share it in limited cases:

  • With Educational Partners: Such as schools, universities, or contest organizers, solely for learning or evaluation purposes.

  • With Mentors or Judges: If applicable to a program, under confidentiality terms.

  • With Service Providers: For hosting, analytics, or customer support — all under strict data protection agreements.

  • As Required by Law: In response to legal obligations or law enforcement requests.

5. Student Rights

Students (or their guardians) have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold

  • Correct or update inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of data

  • Withdraw consent at any time

6. Data Retention

8. Consent and Parental Involvement

For users under the age of 18, parental or institutional consent is required. Schools or educators may provide consent on behalf of students participating in group activities or assignments.
