FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Just a few minutes. Educators create a competition, choose engagement options (like voting, comments, judge ratings, or monetary support), and decide if it stays classroom-only or connects to a larger group competition.

  • Educators invite Students to submit entries, and can also share the link with families, community members, and professionals. These participants may request to join as Judges or Partners, but Educators approve every request.

  • Educators stay in control. Every Judge, Partner, and comment must be approved by the educator. Comments are only visible once approved, ensuring a safe and supportive experience.

    • Group Leaders bring multiple classrooms together under one competition.

    • Organization Partners track and celebrate company-wide or agency-wide engagement.

    • Judges provide rubric-based scores and optional comments.

    • Commenters leave words of encouragement.

    • Voters/Funders support student ideas through votes or crowdfunding (if enabled).

  • Competitions can showcase Student innovation in many forms: classroom assignments, service projects, entrepreneurial ventures, or cross-school initiatives. The platform adapts to PK–12, higher education, nonprofit, and training program contexts.

  • Pitch competitions can be hosted by any content area or grade level. NextPitch adapts to PK–12 classrooms, higher education, community programs, and training environments. Pitch competitions are an excellent way to get feedback and support for science experiments, social studies projects, business ventures, language arts presentations, art showcases, math problem-solving, and more.
